Missed out on SC '13? Say hello to Boston at the Machine Evaluation Workshop!

Posted on 26 November, 2013

The Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool hosts the 24th Daresbury Machine Evaluation Workshop this week (27th & 28th of November), and with a busy exhibition running alongside the packed presentation programme, it's shaping up to be a great couple of days for the HPC community.

On the Boston booth (#18) we'll be discussing the latest developments for our Viridis range of ultra-low power ARM®-based Microservers, and our Head of HPC, David Power, will be presenting an analysis of ARM performance per watt across HPC applications at 14:45 on Wednesday.

We're also participating with partners Viglen (booth #4) & Numascale (booth #16) at MEW24. With Viglen we're displaying the new Supermicro MicroBlade, a 6U server that delivers extreme density for energy efficient computing. With Numascale we're introducing a NumaConnect™ Adapter N313 equipped system that allows end users to experience new levels of performance and flexibility.

As for workshop activity, Viglens's Joseph Miranda will be discussing "Viglen's Atom Range - the Next Generation of HPC' at 16:30 on Wednesday and on Thursday at 13:45 Numascale's Kåre Løchsen will be speaking about "Shared Memory Interconnect in Commodity Servers'.

So if you missed out on this year's Supercomputing event in Denver, say hello to Boston at MEW on November 27th, 2013.
