Boston Limited wish to provide an update to our valued stakeholders that, as of our latest assessment, there will be some noticeable disruption to our supply chain. Due to the impact on passage through the Suez Canal for commercial shipping, our suppliers and logistics partners have swiftly adapted to alternative routes, mitigating potential disruptions and ensuring the continued flow of our supply chain. The rerouting of containers around the Cape of Good Hope may result in up to an additional 3-4 weeks per voyage. Boston is actively monitoring these developments and working closely with our suppliers and logistics partners to minimise any impact on delivery schedules, and we are choosing our delivery options carefully.
Our commitment to a stable and reliable supply chain remains unwavering, and we are dedicated to the safety and security of our operations. Boston is in constant communication with our network of suppliers, logistics partners, and local authorities to stay informed and agile in response to evolving circumstances.
Furthermore, the rising cost of maritime insurance has become a significant factor contributing to the overall expense of international shipping operations.
As of today, 18th January 2024, our supply chain remains resilient, and we have implemented contingency plans to ensure as little impact to our service to our customers. We understand the importance of maintaining business continuity, and we want to assure all stakeholders that Boston is well-prepared to navigate any challenges that may arise.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation in the Red Sea region and will provide updates promptly if there are any changes that may impact our operations or the supply chain. Transparency and open communication are core values at Boston, and we are committed to keeping our stakeholders informed.
